Our Teachers
These are our teachers of Wing Chun Nation. Not only have they taught Wing Chun Kung Fu, they also have taught other skills in Shaolin Kung Fu, Animal Systems, Wudang, and other forms of Chinese Boxing (Wushu). Our teachers have a legacy, via Hampton family, which goes back to the late 1880s - 1895 and present.

Tye Brooks - Founder of Wing Chun Nation
Tye Brooks comes from a family known as the Hamptons; a family that came from the east coast after slavery in search of new land. The family made their home in Arkansas in the 1870s – 1880s. The family history can be tied to what is now known as the Bold Pilgrim Movement in Arkansas.
Tye Brooks (Hong Tai-yun) would learn from Hong Ou-xu (Oscar Hampton) at the age of 3. For 9 years, martial arts and school was life. It would only be, at the age of 12, Brooks would be considered the youngest master of the Hampton/Hong history. Brooks would also learn about Japanese martial arts as well. At 14, Brooks would learn Tae Kwon Do from Basil Miller in Malvern, Arkansas. (Malvern being the hometown.) He would go on to hold 23 championship titles, 20 trophies, 2 medals, and several name signatures including being named “the Deadliest Competitor of the U.S.T.F Gulf South Region” in 1997. He also has a 20-1 MMA record.

Oscar F. Hampton
Otherwise known as Hong, Ou-xu, Oscar Hampton was a baptist minister in Dermott, Arkansas until his death of May 2011. He is also the mentor and teacher/master of Tye Brooks in all areas from the Holy Bible to Martial Arts. He was known to have the animal spirit of a bear due to his immoveable stance and his dominant strength without trying. It was in 2007 when he would meet other chinese masters and reveal who he was on a small scale. Already a master in the martial arts, Oscar received his last rank in 2007 as a black sash in the Chinese Qigong Arts in Magnolia from a visiting teacher.
Oscar is accredited for being the family member who found out the chinese martial arts namesakes within the Hampton system. Oscar would also synthesize the system where it was easier to learn and more efficient. His dying wish was to have young Tye Brooks study the system of Ip Man Ving Tsun. Before Brooks gained his certification of teaching, Oscar Hampton would leave this world.
